Figures.

A short tale.

The SJC is in New Zealand right now for the Rugby World Cup. We made these plans years ago, before a certain someone came along. I insisted that he still go, thinking it may be the swan song of his travels. I hope he's having a good time.

His old maths teacher's wife is good friends with his mother, they live a few streets away from each other in Sligo. Their son lives in New Zealand, and they were planning a trip there this fall.

The other day, the SJC and his sister were driving down the road to the stadium and there was a woman standing in the middle of the road. I think you know where this is going.

Yep, the SJC and his mother's friend randomly greeted each other on a rainy day in the middle of the road somewhere in New Zealand on their way to the USA-Ireland rugby match.

A small world?

And that's not the first time dear Pamela has been bumped into on a lonely road abroad. It happened to us in the middle of absolutely nowhere once in France back in the 80's. Kind of freaky.
