Yesterday, EK had her 4 month check up.
I know, I know, I have a whole other blog to talk about her, but it's too much effort to write two separate blog posts. I promise, if some awesome adventure happens on my way to Starbucks, I'll chronicle that too.
So, yesterday EK had her 4 month check up and got some shots. She was also weighed and measured. Our girl is very tall - 27inches, that's 69cm for those using bizarro conversions. And not very porky, weighing in at 14lbs, 3oz. She's long and lean, I guess, but gaining weight at a nice clip (1lb/mo.) I'm told that's normal. I guess I should take one for the team and start eating more ice cream. You know, to help boost her weight, even if I'm assured she's of average weight for someone her age.
I am really looking forward to her being a professional basketball player and for her to become sponsored by Wheaties or Gatorade. Preferably Gatorade, because my favorite cereal is not Wheaties, and that's a conflict of interest.
And speaking of Gatorade, they now have this 3 series? Like, the first is hydrate, the second is endurance, and the third is recover? All I can ever find anywhere is the 2nd one, and that's not the one I want. I want recover. Replenish my electrolytes, Gatorade! Or I'll switch back to water! (Just kidding, I already have.)

I was reading your post out to Andy and when I got to the part about E being 27 inches at 4 months we both went, "holy shit!" At 5 1/2 months Henry is barely 25 inches (we might be pulling a bit on the measuring tape in his favor). You've got a basketball player, I've got a rugby player.
A rugby player = lucky. There's much more money in rugby than the WNBA, and isn't it all about how much we can bilk out of our kids?!
Uh, Moe, she came out at 24 inches!!! Next time I see her, she's going to be as tall as me! :)
Oh, and I think she should play beach volleyball instead of basketball. It just seems more glamorous.
Good call with the beach volleyball. Modeling contracts ahoy!
